The Anderson Arts Center

Established in 1972 by philanthropist Callie Stringer Rainey, the Anderson Arts Center has grown from the Anderson County Arts Council into a cornerstone of the artistic community in Anderson, South Carolina. Initially housed in the historic Carnegie Library, the center's rapid growth necessitated a move to the larger P&N Railway Warehouse, which opened in 2006 with ADA-compliant facilities. The center's mission is to foster the practice and appreciation of the arts throughout South Carolina, with a vision of making art accessible to all. By focusing on inclusivity, community, and creativity, the Anderson Arts Center provides a space where everyone feels welcome and valued.

The purpose of the new brand system and visual identity for the Anderson Arts Center is to reflect and enhance its core values of inclusivity, creativity, and community engagement. The new identity system features modern typography and warm color tones, with a primary logo that merges the initials "A A C" and a secondary mark derived from the center's architectural motifs. These elements, combined with a vibrant color scheme of orange and blue, aim to create a dynamic and welcoming visual presence. This rebranding effort not only strengthens the center's image but also aligns with its goal of broadening its audience and enhancing community connections. By leveraging targeted marketing, community collaborations, and digital platforms, the Anderson Arts Center seeks to amplify its impact and continue serving as a cultural hub where artists and art enthusiasts can explore, learn, and grow.
Alongside the visual identity system, a comprehensive project brief and brand guidelines were developed.
